Toronto, ON – September 30, 2024 – Spirits Canada is excited to announce the appointment of Cedric Salibi as the Association’s SVP, Policy and Analytics. Cedric has extensive experience in policy, strategy development and execution, business transformation, market/economic intelligence and advanced analytics.
“The spirits sector in Canada stands at a unique inflection point, facing both exciting opportunities and complex challenges,” said Salibi. “With evolving consumer preferences, regulatory landscapes, and sustainability imperatives, our industry is poised for transformation,” said Salibi.
Prior to joining Spirits Canada, he held various progressive roles in gaming, electricity generation, aerospace defense and management consulting. His commitment to data-driven decision-making and stakeholder management ensures that he consistently delivers innovative and impactful results for the organization, stakeholders and industries that he serves while stimulating economic development.
“My role will focus on navigating these changes, leveraging data-driven insights to shape policy, and developing strategies that ensure the continued growth and innovation of Canada’s world-class spirits industry,” said Salibi. “I look forward to collaborating with our members, stakeholders, and partners to strengthen our collective voice and drive positive change.”
Cedric holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ontario Tech University, where he graduated summa cum laude. Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, Cedric brings a global perspective to his role, having lived and worked in various regions including Africa, France, Belgium, the Middle East and Canada.
Outside of work, Cedric is passionate about traveling and exploring new cultures and cuisines. He is an avid chess player, enjoying the strategic depth and mental challenge the game offers. These interests reflect Cedric’s love for discovery and continuous learning, qualities that he brings into his professional life.
