Moderation & Responsibility

We’re dedicated to encouraging the responsible use and consumption of alcohol, and to lead a successful, educational, innovative and sustainable spirits sector in Canada.

The Spirit of Moderation

Spirits Canada and its member companies are strongly committed to the responsible sale and moderate consumption of beverage alcohol. Canadian Spirits manufacturers support a number of leading not-for-profit organizations dedicated to educating consumers on how to enjoy products safely.

Canada’s low-risk drinking guidelines provide useful advice to consumers of legal age who choose to drink, when, where and how to drink to minimize the risk of harm to themselves and others. Spirits can be part of a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle and diet when consumed responsibly and in moderation.
