Gabriel Dzathor
Director, Economic Policy and Intelligence
Gabriel Dzathor is the Director of Economic Policy and Intelligence at Spirits Canada, bringing over 15 years of expertise in economic policy, research, and strategic development. In his role, Gabriel leads initiatives to shape economic policies and conducts advanced analysis aimed at driving industry growth. His diverse experience spans multiple sectors, including gaming, regional economic development, and marketing analytics.
Before joining Spirits Canada, Gabriel served as Senior Economic Intelligence Manager at Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, where he spearheaded modeling and economic impact assessments that guided provincial policy and strategic decision-making. His previous roles also include managerial positions at the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority, Federated Co-operatives Ltd., and Alberta Treasury Board and Finance, where he provided critical economic insights and policy recommendations to support organizational growth and public policy.
Gabriel holds graduate degrees in Economics from the University of Alberta and in International & Development Economics from the University of San Francisco. He has a proven track record in econometric modeling, economic impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement, successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving impactful results
Gabriel is also a strong advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, having served on OLG’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council, where he contributed to the development of the company’s long-term EDI strategy.
Outside of work, Gabriel is passionate about choral music and enjoys exploring musical traditions from various cultures and time periods.
