Via Dulay
Director, Communications & Public Affairs
Via is the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for Spirits Canada. She is responsible for the development and execution of Association’s long-term communications strategy. Her portfolio includes employer branding, stakeholder and government relations at the international, federal and provincial level, digital asset management, media relations, strategic sponsorships and partnerships, event management and member communications.
Via brings over 10 years of extensive communications and marketing experience to the spirits sector from many industries such as, real estate, professional sports, higher education, and e-commerce.
More recently, she comes from the food manufacturing sector, where she created both internal and external communications infrastructure in areas such as employee engagement, crisis communications, branding, C-suite communications and change management. She led the long-term strategic communications plan for over 500 salaried employees, and over 2000 front-line factory staff that contributed to an increase in employee satisfaction and engagement year over year. Prior to that, Via came from the higher education sector creating and implementing Centennial College’s marketing and communications plan for the athletics department, which received Provincial recognition and was voted in by the Board of Athletic Directors to be first VP, Marketing from Centennial College for the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association.
Via currently sits on the Board of Directors as VP, Finance and Association Management for the International Association of Business Communicators – Toronto, the largest chapter in the world. Previously, she sat on the board as VP, OVATION Awards and led the 39th annual awards ceremony, which led to record-breaking numbers.
She holds a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from Centennial College and an undergraduate degree in Cinema and Media Studies from York University.
In her spare time, you can find Via tending to her garden, at the gym, or co-leading Rainbow Hoops, a 2SLGBTQIA+ basketball league in Toronto.
