Spirits in Grocery: Ontario Community Tour

UPDATED: JULY 12, 2023 – Why do consumers have greater access to beer and wine made in foreign countries over spirits made by Ontario distillers, using 100% locally grown grains?

World renowned spirits have been made in Ontario since before Confederation. The relationship between distillers and local farmers goes back almost 200 years. The growth and prosperity of Ontario’s award-winning distillers is directly related to the high-quality grains produced by Ontario farmers. If the spirits industry continues to face unfair regulation by government, the agricultural community will lose out.

We invite you to attend an engaging presentation by Jan Westcott, President of Spirits Canada, about the opportunities and risks facing Ontario’s spirits sector and the farmers who supply it.
