Cal Bricker

President & CEO

Cal Bricker is the President and CEO of Spirits Canada, the trade association and leading voice representing the distilled spirits industry in Canada. He has over 30 years of experience in regulated industries, focused on infrastructure services, entertainment and packaged goods.

His previous employment includes senior leadership roles in public affairs with large Canadian brewers and the waste management sector.  He has also been the President and CEO of the Ontario Cannabis Stores, and Senior Vice President at Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Dr. Bricker holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Alberta, as well as a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a Senior Fellow at the Munk School for Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto, and currently sits on the boards of the Royal Canadian Navy Benevolent Fund, the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy and is an honorary governor of the Canadian Journalism Foundation.

He is also a decorated military officer, currently serving as a Captain (Navy) in the Royal Canadian Navy Reserve. During his time in the military, he completed three assignments in Afghanistan.
